Museum

Located in downtown Palouse, the Roy M. Chatters Newspaper and Printing Museum features printing presses and almost everything once used to produce a newspaper. Our rotating exhibits feature landmark events and community heritage.

Open Saturdays 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM and by appointment

Second Weekend After Labor Day

Our community harvest festival happens once a year in September, featuring all of our World Famous Palouse Days events. Stumble downtown to the sirens that start the all-town Pancake Breakfast, line up for the downtown parade of neighbors, and put together an award-winning team for the infamous Barley Bar Relay.

Haunted Palouse

Last Two Weekends In October

Every year when the weather starts to turn chilly, downtown turns extra spooky for Haunted Palouse. You never know what you’ll find wandering in the ghostly streets, with zombies, monsters, nightmares and more! Hundreds of volunteers make Haunted Palouse possible, with profits going to support our community organizations

Cabin Fever Brew Fest

Saturday in mid-February

Palouse people love a good party and you won’t find one better than our downtown midwinter beer-drinking festival, the Cabin Fever Brew Fest. Breweries from all around the Northwest pour their very best beers and neighbors show off their best subzero winter fits around all-day campfires. Tickets are available after Thanksgiving and sell out fast! Proceeds support our local community center.

Palouse Music Festival

Last Weekend in July

Gather under town’s most beautiful shade trees for this midsummer all-day musical show. This event features performers and bands from near and far, vendors, and a local beer garden. The Palouse Music Festival is organized by the Palouse Arts Council, proceeds support local youth and creative opportunities for the community.

Hot Rod Show

Saturday after Memorial Day

Our local car club, the Knuckle Skrape'Rs, puts on an unforgettable weekend of fun every spring during their annual Hot Rod Gathering. Come downtown for live music, games, hot looks, great rigs, and snappiest happiest hours at our local venues. The car show caters to pre-1965 traditional hot rods, kustoms, and choppers.
