Avista proposes installing a 4” steel gas line from W. Main St. south through the City of Palouse Hayton Green Park. The line will continue south under the Palouse River and along Palouse Cove Rd., ending at the existing regulator station near W. Union Ave. Avista has submitted plans for pre-, during, and post-construction work within the park. Construction is expected to start in October 2023.
A public hearing with a representative from Avista will be held on May 9, 2023, at 7:00 pm, at the Palouse Community Center. The regular Palouse City Council Meeting will follow this hearing.
